From My August 2010 Newsletter Someone please turn down the heat, for it is getting a little hot in here. Welcome to the month of August and boy did it come quickly. Before you know it we will be snuggled up on the couch with blankets wishing it were summer all over again. With summer soon coming to a close and the Mercury Retrograde slowly creeping up on us, we need to take a clear advantage of this. In January I warned everyone that this was going to be one of the hottest summers on the record and that it has been. I also believe we will be going into an Indian summer, as my mother called it. I was actually born during an Indian summer.
An Indian summer is when the heat continues to be above 80 degree’s for a week or longer toward the end of September into October. At least that is the case with the East coast. I believe that is exactly what will happen this coming September. That is another reason we all need to get out and enjoy the heat. Winter is going to come in a little late but very hard. With Mercury about to go retro on August 20th this is another reason we need to get out there and enjoy the weather and our lives.
You may find yourself with a good bit of extra time on your hands this month. A clear sign that we all need to take advantage of this in order to get a little rest and rejuvenation. A great month to take a vacation for a week or at least for a few days. Once we come out of this retro on September 18th your going to find yourself with no time at all for rest. Things will begin to flow better in our lives with the exception that we will be very busy with sometimes too much on our plate at one time.
August is not at all a good time for most businesses, unless your in a tourist area like down at the beach. Restaurants are going to feel slower then normal as well as the auto industry. If you work on cars for a living you must take time for yourself before the retro. Come time of the retrograde you will become overwhelmed with people coming in because of car troubles. This is another thing we all should take into consideration before the retrograde. If your car needs a check up, tires, brakes or anything of the sort you should do that before the retrograde kicks in on August 20th. With mechanics being overwhelmed with work they will have an abundance of people returning with complaints their vehicle is still acting up. This goes for any fix it kind of business including computers, heating & air conditioning repair & other electronic or motorized items.
Over the next few months is a good time for us to focus on making changes to your financial situation along with changes with your career. The first part of August is a great time for both of these. Get your resume together, enroll into classes or even go back to school. This retrograde does give us the opportunity to clean up some of the clutter in our lives. A time for us to close some doors forever so that when the retrograde closes we may then look forward to new doors of opportunity opening for us. There is a better & brighter future ahead if you focus, project positive energy, positive thoughts and accept the change in your life.
Opportunity is not going to come knocking on our doors. Not unless you have projected this energy out into the universe. You can manifest positive things in your life just by taking a few minutes out of your day to sit, close your eyes, breath deeply and relax. Once you are relaxed picture in your mind the things your would like to manifest in your life. See yourself doing the things you want and see yourself where you would like your life to be. With time and patience you to can manifest things into your life.
During the last few weeks of August we all must also be careful for it is a time in which we may be very accident prone. Drive safely and watch where your walking and what your doing in the kitchen. Always good to be on the safe side. It is also a time where police will be pulling over more people then usual for speeding & other related offenses. All together the month of August will be a fairly good month for most. There will be some losses but all in all it will be pretty good until the retrograde comes and brings along with it delays and frustration.
The other thing we can expect in late August is a large amount of rather large storms. This will continue into September. Hurricanes, tropical storms, floods and so forth will be more of an issue then in the past. So get yourself out there and soak up the sun before it is too cold to do so. Make some time to go out with your spouse or partner. It’s a great time to rekindle past issues with others. A good time to bring new love to all you single folks out there. This will be a good month in matters of love for just about everyone with the exception of those who first must close a large door related to relationships. A time to put the past behind us and look forward to a bright future.
Remember to take care of yourself and others. We do not need or want a reminder from spirit that we are not doing the right things. Until next month, be safe and tell those close to you that you love them so that you never have to live with the regret that you did not say three simple words, “I Love You.”. Remember, your deceased loved ones are only a thought away and are watching over you with a smile on their face.
